BlackBerry addicts can now treat their bruised opposables to a massage. It's a diagnosis not yet recognized in local hospitals, but "blue thumb" is becoming familiar to both physiotherapists and BlackBerry addicts. Some frequent users of the personal digital assistant are complaining that their daily dose of thumb typing has left their tender opposables black and blue.
