Seagate is buying Maxtor for $1.9 Billion

With the hard drive boys getting scared at the rising star that is flash memory, one of the leaders in the industry is gobbling up some competition. As long as this deal still maintains the price/gigabyte we have today, then I am all for it. Hitachi purchased IBM's HD shop, now they're great!
